Funko has unveiled an Ultron with the Infinity Stones vinyl figure inspired by Marvel’s animated anthology series, What If…? Marvel Studios’ latest series on Disney+ is narrated by Uatu the Watcher (Jeffrey Wright), a previously impartial being tasked with watching the MCU Multiverse. As the show explores the path not taken for the universe’s characters, many MCU stars have returned to provide the voices for their animated counterparts. For example, Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) became took the super-soldier serum instead of Steve Rogers and Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) lost his heart instead of his hands. Episode 8, “What If…Ultron Won,” introduced audiences to season 1’s big bad.
In episode 8, Ultron defeated Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, acquired the Mind Stone, and what would’ve become Vision’s body. He then eradicated the Earth’s population with nuclear warheads, leaving Black Widow and Hawkeye as the only heroes alive. When Thanos arrived, Ultron make quick work of him, acquiring the rest of the Infinity Stones and setting off to purge the rest of the galaxy and, ultimately, the Multiverse. In alignment with the release of every Marvel series, Funko has created vinyl figures of fan-favorite characters. That being said, the manufacturer has been expanding its Marvel lineup with What If…? Funko Pops.
