Tom Hardy and Andy Serkis joke that no one wants a Venom and Spider-Man crossover film after the release of Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Hardy is back in the sequel as Eddie Brock alongside his lovable symbiote, while Serkis is in the director’s chair. Venom: Let There Be Carnage opens today and reviews are steadily streaming in for the new entry in the franchise, with some calling it “absurd, fun, silly and chaotic.” It currently sits at 59% on Rotten Tomatoes, but with an audience score of 85%. The film has made $11.6 million thus far in Thursday night screenings and is likely to top the weekend, edging out the reigning champ for the last four weeks, Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
