Geralt of Rivia voice actor Doug Cockle has revealed that he wasn’t contacted to cameo in CD Projekt RED’s latest project, Cyberpunk 2077.
Doug Cockle, the voice of Geralt of Rivia in CD Projekt RED’s The Witcher series, has confirmed he will not be making a cameo appearance in Cyberpunk 2077. This doesn’t come as too much of a surprise, but fans of The Witcher were hoping to get at least a tease of Geralt in Night City.
In The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Ciri, aka The Lady of Space and Time, tells Geralt she travelled to a whole host of strange worlds and time periods. She reveals that one stop on her trip landed her in a time wherein people walked around with metal devices in their heads. Geralt assumes Ciri’s joking, but fans aware of CD Projekt RED’s next RPG at the time knew full well what she meant. Ciri had strolled through the streets of Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City, leading many to believe such an Easter Egg also suggested a Witcher tease of some sort would crop up in the sci-fi title. At the very least, it’s clear an appearance by Geralt is not on the cards, despite Doug Cockle once stating he’d be all for it.
