The long-running Dragon Ball franchise has spawned many fan-made works, but Dragon Ball Deliverance is one of the best – here’s the series explained and how to watch it. The franchise began back in 1984 when Weekly Shōnen Jump published the first chapter of Akira Toriyama’s original Dragon Ball manga series. Today it’s a massive multimedia empire that boasts several mangas, a series of video games, a much-maligned live-action Hollywood movie and more other anime shows, spinoffs and films.

The Dragon Ball franchise has an incredibly dedicated fandom too. A fandom so dedicated, that several die-hard Dragon Ball devotees have made their own works based on the franchise. Alongside a whole host of sometimes questionable fanfics, the property has inspired everything from fan-made webcomics like Dragon Ball Multiverse to fan-made video games like Dragon Ball Demon Breaker. There’s even a fan-made live-action film titled Dragon Ball Z: Light Of Hope that’s far more highly rated than that aforementioned Hollywood-made take on the franchise – which admittedly, isn’t a very high bar to jump over.
