If it’s true that we are all due 15 minutes of fame, Richard McCormack hit the jackpot back in 2016.
The Hudson County employee and professional photographer gained worldwide acclaim for a “heavenly” and inspiring photo of the World Trade Center Tribute in Light just a couple days before the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
The photo, which captured the beam of light hitting a cloud and projecting a Jesus-like image above the site where nearly 3,000 people lost this lives, was published by The Jersey Journal and then picked up by websites around the world. The Sun, based in the United Kingdom, called it “the angel of the World Trade Center.”
