A new trailer for Edgar Wright’s Last Night In Soho has premiered. The acclaimed director’s feature length follow-up to Baby Driver stars Thomasin McKenzie as Eloise, an aspiring fashion designer who moves to the titular London neighborhood with dreams of designing dresses influenced by her favorite decade, the 60’s. One night, though, she finds herself mysteriously transported back in time to the heyday of Soho in the body of one of her idols, Sandie (Anya Taylor-Joy). Not everything is as it seems, though, as the past and present blend into one another in increasingly terrifying ways.
Wright, who has directed genre fare like Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and Scott Pilgrim vs the World, will delve into full-blown horror with his next feature. Early reviews for Last Night In Soho out of the Venice Film Festival praised the blending of genres Wright does with the film, as well as the performances of Taylor-Joy and McKenzie. Both young actresses have seen meteoric rises to fame in the last few years thanks to their star-making performances in various films and television shows.
