James Gunn trolls Guardians of the Galaxy fans, teasing that he revealed his big Easter egg for the first film on Facebook while it’s been down.

Director James Gunn has taken to Twitter to troll Guardians of the Galaxy fans with a joke about Facebook being down. Gunn recently released his latest film, The Suicide Squad, in theaters and on HBO Max and is currently prepping the next chapter of the MCU franchise with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Gunn got his start with the B-grade films of Troma and would later direct the horror flick, Slither, starring Elizabeth Banks, and the indie superhero film, Super, starring Rainn Wilson. In 2014, Gunn took on directing duties for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1, which put Gunn to the top of the A-list.

Gunn would direct the sequel to GOTG in 2017, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2., before moving on to The Suicide Squad after being fired from Vol. 3 over some old offensive tweets. Disney would later hire the director back, where he’s currently at work on Vol. 3, as well as a Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, that will shoot back-to-back with the film. Throughout the years, Gunn has teased that there’s a giant Easter egg hidden with the the first film that no one has completely discovered as of yet, with many fans continuing to offer their guesses and Gunn continuing to shoot them down.
