Election 2021: Everything you need to know about voting by mail in N.J.

Last year, the 2020 general election was mostly mail-in in New Jersey — the state sent mail-in ballots to all of the state’s registered Democrats and Republicans living here to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

But for this year’s 2021 general election, voters will only receive a mail-in, or vote-by-mail ballot, if they request one. Otherwise, eligible voters can vote early and in person, or on Nov, 2, which is Election Day, in person.
