Aston Villa manager, Dean Smith, has suggested that both his own side and Tottenham ‘lacked quality’ during his side’s 2-1 loss in North London yesterday.
Villa lost out to Spurs despite Ollie Watkins getting himself off the mark for the season. It was a close game, however, and Villa and Smith can take some confidence from the performance in general.
But while the win was vital for Tottenham and their own manager, Nuno Espirito Santo, Villa boss Smith suggested that there was a lack of quality throughout the game.
